I love my job!!!

I can't say it enough, but I love this whole Mommy Business. I love that I am able to stay home with Karidee all day, every day. Its what Darin and I both wanted and we are very happy about our decision.

Some days can be tough and crazy. Especially with Karidee's teething madness, but I really love the fact that I can handle it by myself. Not having my parents or inlaws around to give me a break from mom duty has helped me appreciate all of my daughters cute qualities and quirks. The crazy moments are so worth it though because Baby K is such a ham! She giggles, she dances, and she claps yay when she's pleased. She points and "ooh oohs" when she wants to direct our attention to something she likes. What I am really loving most is Karidee's nose touches and neck squeezing hugs. Whenever I get one of those I say a small prayer of gratitude for Heavenly Father loaning me such a sweet spirit. I love my little girl so much!

Short story of what happened this last week:

I sat Karidee in the middle of our front yard to play while I watered our tree and bushes. As I was turning off the water to the hose I noticed this HUGE shadow fly over my head. I look up to see TWO hawks and TWO vultures flying in circles in the sky. I think to myself: OH they must see something yummy to go after. Then I notice they were circling directly above Karidee!!! Within in seconds Karidee and I were inside the house. I walked out a few minutes later and all four birds had left. Pretty scary! I don't think I'll be watching "The Birds" this Halloween!
