"Hello World!"

Darin and I were called to the hospital early Thursday morning for our induction. By 6:30 am I was all hooked up and ready to begin. The nurse gave me a pill to induce labor. It's meant to be swallowed orally but my doctor had her place it were it would work most affectively. And it certainly did! By 7:30 I was in full blown contraction mode and dilating quickly. When I was first checked at 6:30 I was not even dilated to 1 cm. But by 10 or 10:30 I was already a 3. Darin and I were so sure we'd see our little girl in a few short hours. The magic man came and gave me the epidural. He did a fantastic job!!! My doctor broke my water at this point. A few hours went by with no change to my cervix, so they started me on pitocin. Around 4 the nurse stretched me to 4 cm. I made it to 5cm at about 6:30. An hour later I was STILL dilated to 5 cm. I was pretty tired at this point so I told the nurse I was going to take a nap because I have special napping powers. (With Karidee I hovered around 1.5 to 2 cm for 12+ hourse until I fell asleep for 2 hours and woke up dilated to 10!) So I napped for an hour. The nurse checked and I was at 9 cm and ready to push. Darin ran and grabbed the delivery party and after a few quick pushes little Aviree was born... wide awake and crying... at 9:04pm!!! My doctor let me help him pull her out just like he did with Karidee. That's my favorite part. :) She is absolutely beautiful and we are so in love!

This induction/delivery was absolutely amazing. I tore very little and had no swelling. Baby Aviree is doing great! We just love her. Karidee loves her little sister too. She misses having all of my attention, but she's adjusting well to being the big sister. She's a great little helper and so gentle to Aviree. Darin is the most amazing dad... and husband. He loves his girls so much. He's been such a huge help to me as well. I will post more pictures as soon as I can. My sweet baby girl needs me!
