Aviree was diagnosed with RSV and admitted to the hospital Wednesday afternoon. Her oxygen levels were a little lower than normal, but what concerned her Dr. was how much lower it dipped at night while she was sleeping. So we (Aviree and mommy) spent Wednesday night partying it upat the hospital all night. The nursing staff was absolutely amazing! The all loved Aviree too. They called her "Little Miss Diva" because she would dance, kick, smile, and coo at every single one of them when they walked in. Aviree was all smiles the entire time and that made the experience for me more pleasant. There isn't much you can do to treat RSV. For little ones like Aviree they monitor them for 24 hours to make sure the virus doesn't turn into any thing worse, like pneumonia. We were able to come home Thursday afternoon. It's all loving on Aviree, sucking her nose/mouth clean, and making her as comfortable as possible. The two pictures above were taken at the hospital. The poor baby looks a little pale in them.
These two photos were taken the 21st. She's exactly 3 months old and the poor baby spent it very sick. At the hospital she measured at 25 inches long, weighing 13 lbs 10 oz. Today... she giggled. I mean full on laughter. We loved it!
