The Sleeping Beauty...

Darin's sweet and always tells me how he appreciates that I'm all dolled up and pretty by the time he gets home from work. He say's it's a warm and lovely sight and that it makes him feel good that I get all dressed up for him everyday. What he doesn't know is that sometimes it takes a while to get there. Sometimes Karidee is fussing and it takes a couple hours to complete such a simple task like getting dressed and ready for the day. Not today, though. Karidee was awake so I laid her on our bed and pulled the blankets up to her chin and asked her to please be patient while mommy gets ready. This perfect little angel smiled at me and started to stare at our ceiling fan. She loves fans... I think Graco should make "fan" mobiles for cribs instead of butterflies or cute little bears! Twenty minutes later, after I had showered, dressed and put my make-up on, this is how I found our little princess. Peacefully asleep and adorable like always. We are so blessed to have such a beautiful and special spirit like Karidee in our home. I can't even find the words to describe the happiness and love she has brought into our home.

What a good wife! This is definitely not what I do - David's lucky to come home to me being dressed (which is very rare), much less dolled up. I've stopped doing my hair except on Sundays...
